What is the Gettysburg Academy?
Today the historic building is a bed and breakfast in downtown Gettysburg. It also is an event venue and home of Jane’s Tea Room.

We are located in the heart of downtown Gettysburg just three blocks from the town square! Our address is 66-68 West High Street, Gettysburg, Pa., 17325. With our convenient off-street, on-site, private parking and large lot size, we offer privacy and quiet time close to all of Gettysburg’s restaurants, shops and attractions.
Who can stay at the Gettysburg Academy Bed and Breakfast?
Anyone ages 12+ is welcome. For the first time in decades, innkeepers Scott and Debra are thrilled to be able to open this historic building in a public way and are excited to host youor for a stay or for your next private event.

Do you allow pets?
Due to innkeeper allergies, we are not able to welcome pets.
Can I walk to things from the Gettysburg Academy?
Yes! We are only three blocks from the Gettysburg town square and also are within a 10-minute walk of Baltimore Street and Steinwehr Avenue’s many shops, restaurants and attractions. You can walk to the Gettysburg National Cemetery in about 15 minutes. The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Cener is about a 30-minute walk or a quick five-minute drive.
Is the Gettysburg Academy building haunted?
We don’t know! But you’re welcome to tell us what you see or hear. Yes! If the busier summer and fall seasons don’t work for you, we encourage you to visit in the winter and spring.

Yes! And it’s private, off-street parking. It is complimentary with your reservation.

Yes, with central A/C! Our guests’ comfort is our priority.
What is included with our bed-and-breakfast reservation?
All reservations include off-street parking, free WiFi, air-conditioning and access to the refrigerator, microwave, coffee station and first-floor library. Our most popular room rate incudes a full breakfast. We do offer rates that do not include breakfast for guests that have plans or choose to dine elsewhere.

Do you have special events throughout the year?
We offer monthly tea events through Jane’s Tea Room at the Gettysburg Academy. They are very popular, so early reservations are recommended. For larger events, the Gettysburg Academy Bed and Breakfast has access to 55 parking spaces directly across the alley from our location.

Can I have my wedding at the Gettysburg Academy Bed and Breakfast?
Yes! We have hosted weddings for up to 75 people in our beautiful side yard. We have space inside for micro weddings and smaller affairs of up to 50 people. Please call us at 717-334-0224.
